The impressive Number 1 Canada Square (Canary Wharf Tower) is designed to sway 13.75 inches in the strongest wind. As this will probably only happen every 100 years, it was clearly designed to last a long time!
It stands at 244 metres (800 feet) above sea level and is the tallest building in Britain.
The four aircraft warning lights inset into the top of the tower’s pyramid each flash 40 times a minute. This totals 57,600 times a day.
The 50th floor can be reached from the lobby by lift in 40 seconds. And the tower’s loading bay handles over 108,000 deliveries each year.
A pretty impressive building, especially when on the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) at night!
If you arrive in London at Waterloo Station, check out the clock!
