I found this Bubble Pudding recipe in my great aunt Nina’s papers after she died. She was the closest I had to a granny as 3 of my 4 grandparents died before I was born and I never met my Denton grandfather. Nina did not have children of her own so she showered love on her sister’s and brother’s children.

Nina was my grandmother’s sister. I believe they both enjoyed the time spent in the kitchen baking. This is an easy recipe which I know anyone can make.

Ingredients

3 cups of milk

1/2 cup flour

2tbs butter

3/4 cup sugar

3 eggs

1/2 tsp vanilla essence

Method to Make Bubble Pudding

  • Pre-heat the oven to 200C (4ooF).
  • Boil the milk, adding the butter.
  • Mix the flour, sugar and eggs together, beating well.
  • When well mixed, pour the boiling milk and butter mixture into the flour mixture.
  • Mix well
  • Add the vanilla essence.
  • Bake in a greased ovenproof dish for 30-35 minutes at 200C.
