Below are some guidelines to help your piece increase its chances of being found on Google.
Important aspects:
- Choose the intention of your piece. Do you want to educate? Or entertain? Do you want to inspire?
- Select a keyword, or key phrase that someone would put into Google, to find your piece. An example would be chicken curry recipe or reduce anxiety
- Use this keyword or key phrase as your heading (or part of your heading), but make the heading short
- Use your keyword or key phrase In the first paragraph and tt least 4 times in the piece
- Your piece should be between 500 and 800 words
- Divide your piece evenly into paragraphs
- Ensure you have a sub-heading about every 300 words
- Use your keyword/ key phrase in at least one sub-heading
- If you have any external links to your website, or other sites to support or add value to your piece, please include them too
As soon as your piece is ready:
- Label your document with your name and business
- Submit at least one image to add value to your piece. Label images with your keyword or key phrase
- Include a short bio of 20 words
- Attach an image of you
- Send links to your website and your social media channels
- Email to dawn@dawnadenton.com
As soon as your piece is published on the Dawn A Denton website, you will receive an email with the link. We will post your blog post on our social media channels and tag your social media profile.
